Social media really changed that, which being an underdog I was a front runner for.
Now with everyone being on the cloud, security is another factor artists really have to stress about. As a former victim of twitter theft; it bothers me that these companies who benefited from underdogs such as myself, are not doing enough to retrieve locked accounts, protecting whistle blowers, etc.
Please take a moment to remember your consumers by providing another option for retrieving social media accounts, when locked out do to things like getting a new phone, and not having your backup codes.
